Peaceful Valley’s B-Herd is the largest herd on the ranch. This is an extremely diverse herd with backgrounds including wild burros captured by Peaceful Valley, BLM adoptees whose adoption didn’t work out, domestic donkeys that have been abused or neglected and even a few older babies that were born at our sanctuary. The B-Herd is a place where donkeys can become donkeys again. They can forget about their troubled past, or they can use the time to adjust to live in captivity. No matter what the donkey suffers from, he can find a friend, a comfort and a peace of mind. Some of the B-herd are permanent residents or Peaceful Valley they may have emotional problems, or they have earned the right to live out their lives here with us. The B-herd usually has around 200 members
