Don't Eat My Cow and I won't Eat Your
Dog!

I recently received a letter from another animal group asking for money to help stop the human consumption of dogs in Asia. I have many dogs here at the ranch and am particularly fond of two of them that follow me every where I go. I could not imagine eating one of my dogs, after all they are loving, funny, highly intelligent and seem to enjoy their life. It would seem cruel to butcher one of them and place them on the dinner table.
A few months ago, another animal group sent me a petition to stop the consumption of donkeys in Asian and European Countries. The petition went on to say that there were many other viable forms of meat readily available for consumption and why should donkeys have to suffer at some slaughter plant? After all donkeys are loving, funny, highly intelligent and seem to enjoy their life.
I did not support either of these two rescues on their positions.
What is the basis for us to consume the fat, muscle and fluid of one species while the mere thought of consuming the same fat, muscle and fluids of another species is abhorrent?
Why is Angus Beef preferred to Dachshund steak?
Why is lamb OK to eat, but puppy is not?
Why not kitten nuggets in lieu of chicken nuggets?
Why do we not enjoy Baby Back Ribs equally, whether they come from a pig or donkey?
The simple fact is, companies and our government spend millions of dollars convincing people that the consumption of the fat, muscle and fluids of Cattle, Sheep, Swine and Chicken is acceptable behavior. These animals do not deserve their fate any more than a Donkey, Dog or Cat. We simply make the justification in order to continue the tradition. Think before you eat.
So in conclusion:
Don't eat my cow and I won't eat your dog..............
