Illene was living on the side of a hill.  When the property sold, the new owners did not want the crooked legged little donkeys.  The old owners tried to find some one to take her but to no avail.  They were getting desperately close to having to euthanize her when a neighbor suggested Peaceful Valley.

Illene suffered from a birth defect.  Aside from her leg issue, she also had internal problems as well.
