Sheep
Sheep is another animal whose products are used worldwide. Meat and wool are an integral part of most societies. The sheep at Peaceful Valley came from various rescue situations where they were being starved, were too sick to sell at auction or were not wanted.
Most sheep live out their lives in large roaming flocks. These flocks are moved to different areas to graze under the watchful eye of their sheep herder and his dogs. Occasionally a donkeys or llamas will also be used to discourage predators.
As remarkable as it sounds, lamb is found on many menus throughout
the
United States. A baby sheep is a familiar icon in our infant toys
and laundry detergents but somehow we as a people can separate the
cuteness and vulnerability of a baby animal as long as we enjoy how it
tastes.
