Upon arrival all donkeys are placed in quarantine for a period of time that is determined by our Veterinarian. This protects the Peaceful Valley Herds from the introduction of parasites, disease and aggressive behavior. While separated, the donkeys are treated medically and returned to optimum health. Once healthy all males are castrated and a determination is made as to which herd is the best setting for the individual. A typical stay in quarantine can range from 4 weeks to 3 months
