Safety Rules for Visitors

 For your safety and comfort, the safety of your children, as well as the safety of the animals at Peaceful Valley, we have established the rules listed below:

• If you suffer from allergies, please note that Peaceful Valley may not be a safe place for you to visit, as dust, animal dander, and other allergens may prove harmful.  If you decide to visit, be sure to bring your allergy medications.
• Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and may not play unsupervised at the rescue.
• Do not allow your children to put their hands through the fences.
• Ensure that both you and your children stay a safe distance away from the electric fences.
• Do not feed the animals.
• Do not touch the animals, except for those indicated by the PVDR staff.
• Wear sensible shoes with closed toes, such as sneakers, tennis shoes, or boots.
• While walking on the ranch, carry only bottled water in clear plastic bottles. 
• Keep all beverages, except water, and all food in your vehicle.
• The rescue is a No Smoking facility. 
• Alcohol is not allowed on the premises.
• You may walk your dog on a leash outside the Visitor Center only.
• Dogs must be kept in your vehicle, on a leash, while you visit the rescue. 
• Watch for wildlife.  Snakes are present at the ranch and care should be exercised when walking.  Stay on the roads and trails.
