Adoption Program
Donkeys made available for adoption have been prescreened for certain
qualities including:
Friendliness towards people
Ability to accept a halter
Stand tied
Lift all four hooves for trimming
These donkeys make great pets and enjoy human companionship. While the donkeys in our system do not have any specific training, many are suitable for packing, driving and riding. The donkeys remain titled to Texas Burro Rescue for life, this ensures that our adoptors do not get saddled with excessive vet bills should the donkey become ill or if the adoptors situation changes and they can no longer keep the donkey.
