Many of our old timers come from the wild herds. These donkeys do not have the love of humans that is found in our easy to manage Active Senior herd. These wild burros also require special feed and supplements but also need special equipment to handle the medical treatment and hoof work necessary to keep them healthy. By keeping the wild seniors in a separate herd, we can ensure their safety as well as the safety of the staff and volunteers.
